Dr. Leif Hokanson Smith combines expertise and experience with a relentless focus on improved client outcomes. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois, and then did his post-doctorate fellowship at The Ohio State University Sports Medicine Center, in Columbus, Ohio.

His diverse clientele includes work with athletes and coaches at such institutions as The University of Iowa, The Ohio State University, and Duquesne University. Individually, he has worked with athletes and teams from all walks of life, from high school to MLB and NFL athletes, in almost every competitive sport imaginable. He has also provided performance consultation services to dozens of collegiate coaches.

Leif has worked with organizations small and large, from family-owned small businesses to such organizations as America Online and The American Lung Association. With his extensive background in assessment and process improvement, Leif has helped scores of executives to improve their management skills, leadership abilities, and on-the-job performance.

A dynamic and engaging speaker, Leif regularly presents on topics related to leadership and team development.

Leif currently holds the position of Adjunct Graduate Faculty at The University of Dayton. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), and his work has been cited in publications such as The New York Times, Entrepreneur Magazine, Pure Power Magazine, HER Sports Magazine, Best Practices in HR, Legal Management, The Columbus Dispatch, and Small Business Digest.

In his free time, Leif enjoys spending time with family, learning Swedish, and getting lost in bookstores.
